Chefspecs® and Nitespecs ® are designed to take reading glasses a step or two further than typical “readers,” by adding unique and value-added features to each pair. We all know that any pair of reading glasses should help you see and read better, but why shouldn’t reading glasses do more? Each of our styles has been designed with form, function and quality in mind – we hope you’ll like them!
Chefspecs® are designed for the kitchen, to stay in the kitchen. They are great for reading recipes and ingredients, are strong and durable enough to withstand daily use, and can be popped into the dishwasher to remove oil and residue. Chefspecs® also come with a handsome stainless steel-looking magnetic canister, which serves as an attractive and convenient holder in which the glasses should be always kept when not in use. If this handy and attractive container is used as intended, your reading glasses for cooking will always be there when you need them – in your kitchen – minimizing the frustration of trying to find reading glasses right in the middle of preparing a favorite meal.
Nitespecs ®, on the other hand, are designed for reading in bed, reading menus in dark restaurants, reading on airplanes, and even for doing repair work under the kitchen sink or checking to see if the meat on the barbeque is still too pink. Nitespecs® unique uses are often shared with us by happy customers, and soon we will be sharing some of our favorites with you! Please stay tuned in the coming months and we will share some of the most clever uses with you!

As she could never seem to find her reading glasses in the kitchen when she really needed them, she pondered giving up cooking altogether…but instead, created Chefspecs®.
Beritzhoff was also the founder of Japonesque Professional Makeup Supplies in the 1980’s, a unique line of high quality makeup products originally designed for film & television makeup artists. After selling Japonesque in 2002 and gaining more time to read & cook, Paula quickly realized she needed reading glasses – but somehow could never seem to find them…
